Even though I’m curious to find out more about what happens next, I’m not one hundred percent certain I will continue on with the series. Sarah Mlynowski is a genius. Great for teacher class.

There were some funny moments, but all in all, it was unrealistic and kind of dull. Seems mom is a witch, too, her decided to vras life without her powers, and Miri’s inherited her mom’s special gift.

Buy the Audiobook Download: Maybe that’s what the sequels are for, but I don’t think that I care enough to read them. It’s funny, it’s light and realistic. As for the setting, I loved it from the start. This G-rated, humorous, young-adult, chick-lit novel is clearly geared at girls agebut it is entertaining enough that readers of any age who appreciate zany comedy with a paranormal twist will get a kick out of this book.

Instead she relies on comedic situations, quick and snappy dialog, and real life drama that any and every teen girl can relate to. Though Rachel is the older sister, Miri in many ways is more mature than her.

Spilled milk has more depth. In terms of characters, Mlynowski’s characters are well crafted and well developed.

This does not mean I approved of or agreed with all her decisions, but they all made sense, and I liked that a lot. The only twist on this old story was the magical aspect, and even that didn’t really make it all that much more interesting.
